So, on to my current project So, here we are, my first ever Blog, which seems strange since I've been telling other people what to do for what seems like ages. Apart from telling people what I'm working on at the moment, bar certain 'agreements' with clients, I'll also be posting some of my most influential artists. I hope that it doesn't bore you to tears!
First of all, I'd like to welcome anybody who cares to read my ramblings. I realise that there are THOUSANDS of such Blogs on the Interweb....
Let me start off with saying one of my chief influences - the brilliant Artist and writer Frank Hampson, who I was incredibly lucky to have a tutor at at my College. Dan Dare has become part of the cultural history of British Comics. He has certainly influenced the style of art that I've done for the last few years - no doubt about that! I hope to post some images/links to his and other artists' work that have been the cornerstone of my working life. So...please, WATCH THIS SPACE!! Alternatively, just make yourself another coffee, grab a chocolate biscuit and settle down to your favourite Soap - your choice... This is a good place to start with my major influence:http://www.frankhampsonartwork.co.uk run by Frank's son Peter Hampson. The man was a genius. So...on to my current project, a follow up to my first Kindle Book, The Dam Busters. Here is a page , unlettered, of my next project, done in my spare time: file:///Users/Nicholas/Desktop/evereststripjpegs/evereststripartpage5-flattened.jpg
So - at last, The Story of Everest is published as a Kindle/Amazon eBook. I really do hope that my next project doesn't take two years to complete! Here's a link - it's a bit more expensive to download than Dam Busters, but it has a lot more content: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Conquest-Everest-Nick-Spender-ebook/dp/B01E0V6Y4K/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1460214908&sr=8-2&keywords=nick+spender
